This is our new golf cart that Papa got for us. We took the boys to the neighbors birthday party on it. Then we parked it in the shed at the Country Club so that Ashley can take it golfing.

Sam is a wonderful swimmer. He can hold his breath for so long that it kinda scares me. He loves to snorkle all the way across the pool. Gus is becoming such a little man with his big vocabulary and imagination. His favorite things are power rangers, and star wars. Gus is always either wearing a sock or a power ranger glove on his right hand. He knows just when to give me a hug! He is so sensitive and thoughtful. At dinner time Gus says our first blessing which is "God is great" and Sam follows with his spontaneous blessing which goes something like this... "Thank you for the world, the beautiful animals, my brothers, my mom, my dad, my grandparents, this whole world, the birds and Jesus in his Christ... Amen" Doesn't that just melt your heart?

I can't believe my baby is two years old! Oh, how time flies. Pretty soon I won't be able to put him these adorable smocked outfits. I know Ashley can't wait for that day to come! We have been busy this summer. The boys have been going swimming at The Club, Sam has had basketball camp, and a reading seminar, and Gus has school Tues. and Thurs. The library has also been keeping us busy with their cute program they have for the boys once a week. Sam checked out some first grade books and has been reading wonderfully. We can't wait for our two beach trips in July, and for Granny and Grandpa and Susan to visit. I am so thankful to have healthy, wonderful boys, and a wonderful husband. Happy Father's Day, Ashley! We spent father's day weekend with Mimi and Papa which included golf, swimming, lots of good food and family time. Happy

Father's Day to you, Dad! We miss you and hope you come and visit us soon.

I love them to match! Big brother Sam is resting in his bunk bed while he is recovering from a sinus infection and ear infection. Maybe tomorrow he will be better, and we can go to the pool. Thank you Burgin for the cute T's and Aunt Cindy for the adorable check shorts!

Gus had his first t-ball game at the YMCA Saturday morning at 9am. He is on the Butler County Bank Team(yellow team). Now we have two little ballplayers! Yeah!!!

The boys had the best time playing in the yard today. They have had a BIG day! This morning was the Easter egg hunt at our church, and then Sam played with his birthday presents, and even shared some toys with Gus. I love these pictures. They capture them perfectly.

I finally got Ashley to take a few pictures of the baby, so here they are! He is my little sweet pea. He loves to rub my arm to go night night and gives us lots of sweet kisses and hugs. Sam and Gus sure love their baby brother.

Sam is six

Sam is officially six! He is so smart and we are proud of the little boy he is. This first picture of him is now, the next one he is around nine months, and the other tball pictures are from when he was three years old. He had a movie theater party with his friends from his class last Wednesday night and they went to see Monsters vs. Aliens. It was quite an experience. The boys loved it. It seems like yesterday he was first playing tball at the Y. Sam wants everyone to know that he has been drafted by the Tampa Bay Rays. His baseball season starts next week. Go Sam!!!!

Mom was here for Halloween, so Ash and I decided to take a date night and go to a Halloween party. Here is our attempt at dressing up with not much preparation. We are supposed to be cool eighties people. We had a blast at the Chef's Table with our friends Tammy and Drew.

Max is 17 months old now! He is walking, and talking, and very attached to his mommy. I feel like we have so many pictures of Sam and Gus and poor little Maxy gets left out. Here is my little small fry with his missing front tooth and all!!!

So, we got offered Alabama tickets and decided to take the two oldest boys to see the game. I grew up going to Alabama games, so it was very exciting for me. I asked each of the boys independently if they liked Alabama or Auburn, and they both said Auburn. Their daddy is so proud. Sam says that he wants to play football for Auburn and then for the Chargers!

Spring Break

We packed up the minivan and drove to San Antonio to visit Grammy for Spring Break. It was a wild and eventful week. We got to feed zebras on a wildlife ranch, visit the Alamo and have lunch along the Riverwalk. We got to meet Shamu at Sea World, where Sam rode his first roller coaster and decided he wants to be killer whale trainer when he grows up. Gus got a silly-looking Nemo hat that he wore the rest of the trip. The Easter Bunny even paid us a visit in Texas. We had an egg hunt and Max snuck goodies out of his brothers' baskets.

Baseball

Helena baseball evaluations were today. We registered Sam for the Rookie League. He swung at a few pitches and fielded some grounders at the tryout. We'll find out in a few weeks which team he'll be playing for. When we got home, Sam wanted his dad to throw him pitches in the backyard. He is quite proud of the new equipment bag he carries over his shoulder. It's almost twice as big as he is.

Snow

We got close to an inch of snow this morning, the first real accumulation around here since 1993. With Papa out of town, Mimi came and stayed with us during the winter advisory. She helped the boys make snowmen out of Play-Doh the night before the storm. The next morning, Sam and Gus watched out the window as the snow fell in the yard. We took them to the University of Montevallo to let them play on the Flowerhill lawn.

We took the boys up to Town Creek to meet Granpa and Granma Susan at DoubleHead Resort. Sam and Gus did some fishing, checked out the teepees and helped Granpa build a fire.

There's nothing like Christmas morning! The boys were so excited about their visit from Santa. Sam and Gus held hands as they went into the living room to see what was under the tree.

Little Gus loved decorating the tree. He had so much fun that he even broke a few ornaments!

Max is our little Santa baby. We haven't done our Christmas cards yet. I can only image how hard it is going to be to get them all to sit still! The boys are ready for Christmas, especially Sam. He asks me every morning if Santa has come. Grammy is staying with us through the holidays and took us all to the Zoolight Safari.
